Yes, we are aware that the tree is only paper this year, but fake trees are sooo expensive here. We decided that since we are only here for one Christmas, we were going to save money and make due. We cut out green wrapping paper into the shape of a tree and will spend the days until Christmas making homemade paper decorations for it. It was Kiah's turn to put the angel on top so I made one out of tissue paper and Kiah got to stick it on top. I am sure the tree will look great by the time Christmas arrives. It will just be one of those memories that they will talk about in the years down the road. "Remember when mom cut out a paper tree cuz we were too cheap to get a real one?"
