Gabe Goes to America

Our little Honduran took his first trip to the US. Imagine, a US citizen who has never even gone to his home country. Anyway, Kassidy, my sister, was supposed to have her baby the first week of April and Louis surprised me with a round trip ticket back to the US to be with her for the birth.
As plans were being made for my return trip, we decided that it would be so fun to surprise my parents with a visit, since they had not yet met Gabe. Kass called me a few weeks early to say she had the baby without me but we decided it would still be a fun trip. My other sister Randi picked me up and we headed to Idaho for the surprise visit. It turned out great and my parents were so happy to meet him. Gabe absolutely loved my dad!! Even when we came through the door, he gave such a big smile and it stayed through the weekend everytime grandpa came around. After a great weekend, we drove back to Utah and I headed out to Altamont with Kass. We had so much fun and Gabe was very intrigued by baby Noah. I think the other thing he liked was the soft carpet for crawling. He just kept running his hands through it. It has been a long time since I have seen anything but tile floors. I was just as excited about the carpet. i saw all of my family and caught up on things. I really enjoyed being close to them again. After a great vacation, we headed back for our last month in Roatan, before our exodus back to the US on May 9th. Thank you Louis for such an amazing surprise trip. It will be a memory that I will never forget!!
