Journey Eats Real Food

We waited until Journey was exactly 6 months to start her on real food. I thought it would be great to make my own rice cereal. I ground it in the grain mill and turned my brown rice into rice flour. I assumed that I could just add water (like rice cereal from the store) and it would make baby food. I guess there is more to it than that, as it just looked like sand and tasted like it to. It was gritty and granulary....horrible at best. Needless to say, I ended up opening up some applesauce we had canned and fed her that.
