Family Pictures
Thanks to a very patient and talented sister, we were able to get a few family pictures and some great shots of the kids before we return to Coeur D Alene on Tuesday.

This is Gabe's one year photo. After several times of trying to get him to look at the camera, we gave up and went with this one.

Kenda and Makiah are great friends and are so excited to be going to school together next week.

New Adventures Ahead
Over the past 4 months Louis has tried so hard to find a job, with no luck. He has picked up side jobs with our brother-in-law Matt and worked for Dad during part of the summer. We have tried so hard to make a life of it in Southern Idaho. However, after a long summer of trying, Louis has been asked to return to Coeur D Alene, to help run his family's business. We went up for a long weekend and we now have a rental house and a great school for the girls. We are sincerely going to miss S.Idaho and my family, but we know this is where we are supposed to be for the time being. We are a family of journeyers.....this will be our 10th move in 7 years.

Gabe's Trip to Urgent Care
So, long story short....Makiah was riding Gabe's new 4wheeler toy and headed down the hall towards the stairs with Gabe running after her. She turned and drove around the banister and Gabe decided to take a leap off the top of the stairs....not sure why. My mom caught hm after stair 5 or 6. He cried for a bit and then would lay in my arms and then would start crying again. Being new in town, I had no idea where I could take him on a Saturday afternoon. I called the hospital and they told me about Redicare. I headed there with Gabe. We were the only patients for most of the time so it went fast and the staff were great at distracting him. After 2 xrays, they said they could not see a break but still thought something was wrong from his reactions and the tenderness. Since the radiologist wont be back in the office until Monday to read the xray again, the doctor casted it for the mean time in a hard splint and sling. HE HATES IT!! He was so sad when they were putting it on that I asked if we could distract him with a sucker. Even that did not work. He had a total emotional meltdown while they casted it.

Now back home with some tylenol/codine for the pain.....I think I really like codine for him.....he is doing much better. He went to bed ontime with minimal pain and should be back to the doctor on Monday to have them check it and see if it is going to need more than just the sling and splint.
The poor kid can get down to play but then he is stuck until someone comes along to stand him back up. It is pretty ackward for him since the splint weighs a quarter of what he does.

That is not dirt
Here is Matt and I after he taught me how to successfully "throw down" calves for the afternoon. We had a blast and it was a great learning experience. I am now ready for the next time I visit the ranch.
This is Matt trying to show me how to properly hold down a calf after he has thrown it down. The little ones under a couple hundred pounds I got the hang of... the larger ones we just had to pin up against the rail.

Jamie was not happy with the laundry load I put in on this day, but I dedicate this picture to my Grandpa Miller:)

Weekend in Altamont
This last week we went to spend some time with Matt and Kass on their ranch in Altamont. The kids had a blast!
Uncle Matt flooded the lawn and the girls put their swim suites to play in the water. They had so much fun freezing to death!
Here is the four-wheeler picture for my mom. Matt and I took the girls on the four-wheelers around the ranch for a tour.
We also took them for a horse ride. I told Kiah that she was now a "cow girl" to which she replied "no I am not" with her poutty lip. I tried to help her understand that cow girls go out on horses looking for baby cows who are lost trying to find their mothers. To which she had the same answer. I guess that the Miller family ranching bloodline skipped over her:)
