Stitch

We recently had to take a trip to the mainland on the ferry to renew our residency. Any time you take 3 kids to the mainland we have learned that it is an adventure. We thought we were so prepared for the kids with the movie player, puzzle, color books, snacks etc... It was during this trip that our family recieved its first set of stitches. Kiah and Kenda were playing at the pool when Kenda lost her balance and grabbed Kiah's hand. Kenda fell on her rear, but brought Kiah strait down on her chin.

I found the medical facilities are at least 5 times better than we have on the island. It was incredible to pull up in the taxi to a emergency room, get to a real room with clean sheets, running water, a real medicine cabinet, etc... We were in an out in under an hour. Kiah was scared but held still so she would not have to recieve a shot. (He gave her a small one, she just didn't know.) $50 bucks later with prescriptions in hand we were off.

This is pic on the way home. The girls were exhausted and Kiah just fell asleep. We had to take a picture. We have now nicknamed her stitch. We have a medical mission coming to the resort this coming week and we will have one of the doctors take them out. For the record it was only two stitches.
Here is the girls at the ferry waiting (always fun) to head back to the island. We would like to thank Grandma Sweets for stocking up their movie collection. The ones we had were getting really old.
On the bright side this should be our last trip to the mainland until October when we have to do this again. The mainland was a great minivacation for us and the kids. It is nice to just get away and have some fun.

Sooo...interesting story. (not the stitches, although that's way sad.) Bud and I are currently watching WAY too much HGTV learning how not to be a dumb first time home buyer. Anywho, House Hunters International came on and I was about to change the channel when Bud up and yelled, "HOLY COW that's LOU and JAIMIE!!" We then called up Nik and Da, and Da was in shock, then told Nik and she said, "Yeah, they did that a couple of years ago." Anyways, nice to see you guys again. :) Hope Kenda's chin gets better soon.

I meant Kiah. Kiah's chin. Kenda's bum. ;)
