The Missing Tooth

This was a great moment in history for Kenda. She is one tooth less today and has a new toothbrush and beautiful hair clippies to prove that the tooth fairy thought it was a very nice little tooth.

I think it is funny that all over the world, parents offer to help their children remove the loose tooth. Kenda was our unsuspecting guinnea pig. I prepped her the night before with the general info (the next morning Daddy would tie a small knot on the tooth and give it a quick yank. Then, a beautiful fairy would bring her a prize in exchange for the tooth).
After an excited nights sleep, she awoke and reminded Daddy that this was the day. He studied it and determined that it was indeed a worthy candidate for the floss noose. He roped it and yanked.....again...and again....and again.
The poor kid was so brave!! She just kept saying "did you get it?" and daddy would reply... "not yet". I proudly videoed 5 attempts at pulling it before it finally came. We took a piece of wetwipe and finally pulled it out by hand. She was so pleased that it finally came and she was left with a small hole in its place.
Here is the grueling footage.....enjoy!

Cute accidental picture of Gabe in the background, too!

Man, the tooth fairy in Honduras must be doing really well despite the economy here - all I ever got was a stinkin' quarter!

Yay for Kenda!

Haha!!! That is so funny! It makes me hurt watching him try to yank it out! I think Kiah was enjoying the torture session a little too much!!!:)
