I think we may need some parenting lessons. The other day Kenda's Kindergarten teacher sent out a note to all the parents requiring shoes to be worn every friday. They want to do a couple of field trips now that rainy season is over which is great for the kids in Kenda's class. We decided that we would have Jamie go shopping with the girls and get them each a set. This should have been our first thought that we never really had purchased any of our children any shoes during their life time. It is always sandals, crocs or barefoot. I think Kenda might have had something when we moved here, but those are details that have been omitted from our memory. Jamie told them that they were going shopping for new tennis shoes to which Kenda replied "What are tennis shoes"? It is really funny to watch her in her new shoes. She was jumping up and down and talking about how heavy they felt. We just laughed and told her that everyone in Idaho has shoes! I think the island princesses in crocs and sandals are in for a big surprise! Here is a picture of them in their new shoes.

New Songs
With little time left in Roatan before our next big move, we thought it would be nice to change up the songs we have had playing. Of course, the jet plane one had to be there. The Idaho song is for Louis so he can know that there are some good things about Southern Idaho beyond sage brush and wind. We could not think of any other fitting songs for our journey so we are open to suggestions if you think there is a great song that should be played. We would love some good ideas.

Not one..but two at a time
Slobbering and fussing for the last month has finally paid off. Yesterday, Gabe got his first 2 teeth. I checked his mouth and found the first one and early the next morning, we felt again and there was a 2nd one next to it. Poor kid has been miserable for a few weeks and just when mommy was about to loose her cool, it happened. He is only 3 weeks away from his first meal of solid foods. Stay tuned.

7 Happy Years
To my amazing wife. Thank you for our 7 wonderful and amazing years. The time has gone by so fast and we have grown so much. I love you. I wanted to post some of my favorite pictures, but am limited to a certain timeline until my other computer gets back from the graveyard.
I love this picture because we were smiling coming to Roatan having no idea what we were really in for:) We still smile, but only after we have had to learn to make some small adjustments:)

No... that is not lotion and this was the second tube she used that day. This was one of those really hard days in the last seven.

Home sweet home.... who needs to park the car when you could go to work in a kayak?

The smiles make it all worth it.
