Our beauty queen
Since Kiah was able to crawl and possibly even before that she has always loved make up, jewelry, shoes, purses, etc.... I honestly can say that she has never waivered from her dream of one day becoming a beauty queen. On this special occasion Daphane our good friend took some gold ribbon and made her bracelets, ear rings, necklaces and rings. She was thrilled. This unfortunately is the only picture I have, but she wore this out fit all day long and was upset when it started to finally fall apart.

Family Photo
For my parents and grandma who are wanting more blog posts and pictures:) We finally got together for a quick family post. We had a hard time getting Gabe to wake up from his nap, but we all made it to the photo shoot.

Gabe's smile
We were finally successful in capturing Gabe's smile on camera. It took awhile and some patience as our camera has a 30 second delay, but Jamie ended up being the successful one to finally get the pic.
Here is another picture of his smile although not as good as the first in my opinion. I still ask the question... where did he get all that hair? I know it was not from me or my dad:)
This pic really does not have much to do with Gabe's smile, but it does have everything to do with Kenda being a good big sister. She loves to hold him and pretend that Gabe is indeed her baby... until he starts to cry then he definetely belongs to someone else:)

A few FHE's
OK so I am a complete slacker this month. The truth is that it has been really slow business wise here, but that means that it really is time to do other projects that I have been putting off for awhile now. As a result I have fallen a couple of weeks behind on the blog which I promised myself I would keep up.
So here is a couple of pictures from our family home evenings (FHE) that we had over the last couple of weeks. This one is where we had the kids build a church together. We had a great lesson on why we are reverant and what the purpose of church is. It is difficult for the kids here to really appreciate church as it is entirely in spanish. We struggle too, but our family has found the importance of activities outside of the church during the time we have been here in Roatan. Such as this lesson on churches:)
I am pretty sure that Kiah has my smile. Time will tell:) In case you are wondering about the grass colors... AKA sugar sprinkles. Kenda wanted her side of the grass to be green, while Kiah insisted that her grass needed to be purple. (I think it has been awhile since she has seen real grass)
This was a lesson we had last week on the sword of laban and the decisions we make in life. We were hoping to beable to pick the swords up off of the pan, but it did not work. The dough is a cinimmon roll recipe and in the picture the kids are covering the dough with sugar and cinammon:) It was a great treat:)

Gabe's blessing
Jamie was able to take a picture of him smiling on the morning of his blessing. It was his second week we were able to take him church:) I attached his blessing below for those of you who missed it because you were sick, could not make it to church, forgot it was sunday or live 2K miles away.
Our Dear Heavenly Father,
By the power and authority of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood in which we hold, and in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, we come before thee to give this child a name and a blessing. And the name by which he shall be known on the church records is Gabriel Guy St Louis. And at this time Gabriel we also give you a blessing; not of man, but directly from your Heavenly Father. He wants you to know that throughout your life he will watch over you and you will have an increased portion of his spirit to lead you and to guide you and direct you. Throughout your life you will find powerful examples in the scriptures which will lead you and will guide you and you will have a special relationship always with your Heavenly Father through prayer. And through prayer and the scriptures you will find a great strength in which you will become a powerful missionary, and many nations shall hear your testimony. At this time your Heavenly Father also blesses you that you may be able to easily distinguish between good and evil throughout your entire life. He blesses you that you may have the ability to raise your children in righteousness and that one day, through your faithfulness, they will live [in a manner] to see the Savior Jesus Christ. Your Heavenly father wants you to know that He loves you. And these blessings we leave with you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
Here are a couple of pics with his sisters after his blessing. They were so proud of him:)
This was Gabe's blessing as recorded by my wife:)

Kendalynn's first day of Kindergarten
Today is Kendalynn's first day of Kindergarten. She has been talking about this day for quite awhile now. I am really happy that we sent her to preschool as she was able to learn a great deal. We feel really blessed that her school last year and this year are biligual. She is learning spanish much faster than us now. Her teacher says she is a dream student, but I think she tells all the parents that:)
