Time with the St. Louis cousins

After church in CdA the kids spent time with Mattie, Keatin and Lynnae. The kids had so much fun getting pulled around in the garden cart, playing in the sand box, fighting over toys and taking turns holding Lynnae. At times I thought they were going to pull her apart! A couple of scrapes and good memories was what was left at the end of the day. Kenda and Kiah really love seeing Keatin and Mattie. We all hope they can come to Roatan some day and visit!

Thanksgiving point w/ Matt and Kass

We took the girls to Thanksgiving point in Utah while visiting Matt and Kass. We went to the museum they enjoyed digging for dinosaur bones and building dams and islands for the dinosaurs to live on during their activities.

The best part of the trip according to the girls was the pony rides. After the museum we went to a working animal ranch and visited all the animals. The girls loved the goats, horses, cattle, chickens and rabbits. The pony ride was the best part though since they had just ridden a horse at Grandpa Blakes house. They were ready for a long long ride....

I am hoping Matt and Kass start their own blog soon so they can post their pics too!

The beginning of the blog

Yes. This is where we live.

Having been inspired by Da and Nik I will begin the family blog. I credit all of its success and failure to them also. We came to Roatan simply because we wanted a change for our family... a slower life so to speak. It started as a small diving resort and as our family became interested in Roatan we began adding other resorts to our work schedule. We now find our hands tied most of the time, but still get out to have some fun now and again!

We have two incredible little girls who love each other and are each others best friends.

Kenda just turned 4 and has started preschool here on the island. She really enjoys spending time with other kids her age. She goes for 5 days each week for 4 hours a day. It is difficult to find activities with other kids her age on the island who speak english. She is learning spanish at school and at the resort/house, but at 4 she loves to spend time with all her new friends she just met.

Jamie volunteered for their most recent activity which was at Anothony's Key. They were able to go see the dolphins, the marine musuem, etc... What a blast!
Makiah is now 2. She is quite the little handful.

We have less pictures of her because she rips off all her clothes as soon as we turn our heads. She does love the water, her sister and of course monopolizing all her mothers time. I will make a earnest effort at getting more postable pics of her.

With this I begin our blog. Our next addition to our family will be sometime early in August. We do not know if it will be a boy or a girl. We hope that one day we will have boy, but we will be happy either way this time. The estrogen is definetely strong in our house. One day it will balance back out.
